Hitch

Christopher Hitchens: 1949-2011

“I want to live my life taking the risk all the time that I don’t know anything like enough yet, that I haven’t understood enough, that I can’t know enough, that I’m always hungrily operating on the margins of a potentially great harvest of future knowledge and wisdom. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

At the age of 10, I discovered The Beatles. At the age of 20, I discovered Bob Dylan. At the age of 30, I discovered Christopher Hitchens. There are few people that have had the kind of influence on me that this writer had, and I shall miss eagerly searching for his latest feature (whether I agreed with what he had to say or not) immensely. An incredibly brave man. The world shall be a much duller place without him.
